Brookie
I think you run a fantastic camp site and when I saw your post last night I thought great as we have left it due to working Friday
You said you have some pitches left 8 I think, so went straight onto your website and was quoted ONLY £2.50( booking fee ) pitch price not listed
so did not book on web site a am sure you would not let me on for the £2.50 and phoned this morning told person on the phone about the website ( just to give you the heads ups ) and ask for a quote
now I know it is a min 3 nights so asked for sat leave Monday and was shocked at the cost quoted at £144 so for me that would have been £72 per night! no thank you about warning on price on website and see it is still not showing a cost only the £2.50 booking fee
I do wonder with weather possible being poor this weekend and the possibility of a few empty pitches would it not be wise to offer 2 nights if someone asks on the Saturday morning
Yes thanks for letting me know about the website - it shows the £2.50 booking fee but no pitch price as it is a 5 night min stay on the online bookings system.....so you would not have been able to book in anycase at £2.50 :-( Sorry
The extra pitches we opened up (on grass) were reduced to a 3 night min. stay.....and at the moment we are down to our last 3 pitches now.
If we don't sell these last pitches for 3 nights, then I will happily reduce it to the two nights - this has been arranged with my staff from 5pm Friday night onwards.
The price on a Standard pitch is £30.90 per night, including 2 people, awning, 16amp electric, showers, swimming pool, fishing etc etc.
So hopefully you will pop over?
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
