We now live in the best place we ever found for holidays in the South West. We would like to find a site that does storage, preferably behind a locked gate, within an easy drive of Torbay.
It would be nice to have some short breaks and we would really like to investgate some sites before committing to storing there.
We do visit the Newquay/Padstow area a fair bit, which I don't mind. Lyme Regis is ok. St Ives would be too far I think. An hour and a half, or an hour and 45 tops really. Anyone got any ideas?
We prefer pretty, nice views and quiet to the all singing dancing, rammed in lines, commercialism overload. Don't get me wrong a pool is lovely, but not at £44 a night! If you get my drift. I would hardly use it if we had to pay that much per night. :-(
A playground would be nice, but bit of space to move about and cheaper price is nice too. Close-ish drive to sea, towns for keeping the kids occupied. Any gems out there for me to investigate?
Thanks in advance x

Galmpton touring park near Brixham seemed to have a caravan car park. Don't know if this is seasonal pitches which are towed out at right time (use a tent not a caravan).
Site has fantastic views of river Dart, play park, no pool, tiny shop/reception, very clean but dated wash block.
Thanks Frazzle, I literally live there though so it wouldn't be a suitable destination, if we had a house and not a bungalow I could probably see the park, 15 minute walk. lol!
Woolbrook, I will look at that one thank you...
****edit - I probably should clarify, as reading back through my original post it isn't clear. We live in Paignton, Torbay...so are looking for a site within about an hour and a half's drive to store at and visit...rather than one near to Torbay so we can visit Torbay. :-)
TretHem mill touring park do reasonable storage. We stayed there last year and saw the vans being washed & taken to their pitch for campers arrival. There's a nice park for little ones, only thing is they don't allow bikes or scooters due to insurance😁. Good luck with your search.
Can you suggest any other sites in your area that we may like. No club house, no pool and similar to Glampton (Don't really want to go back to the same place again as we like looking at new places but love the area).
Whilst looking for sites in north Devon, I came across Headon Farm. It ticks some of your 'boxes'. No idea how good the site is though as not visited yet.
