About 10 miles. There are a few sites within 25 miles which we regularly use, being in Shropshire its not too far to the country! Useful at bank holidays as no traffic problems!

We regularly camp half an hour to an hour away - we're on the edge of the Peak District and it's much nicer to go straight from work on a Friday night and spend the weekend away than to just go out there for the day. As a kid I used to spend most of the summer sleeping in a tent in the field next to our house though, so that's definitely the closest to home!
