Can anyone recommend a good campsite for touring caravan and a tent in the new forest, somewhere child friendly, good facilities and near to local attractions

Hoburne Bashley is a great park, indoor pool there too if the weather isn't great.

We go to Long Meadow campsite in Brockenhurst and love it. There isn't a play ground for the kids but it's right by miles and miles of footpaths and lovely walks. The facilities are good.
Another good one is Meadow View Campsite near Verwood, again it doesn't have a playground but it's just down the road from Moors Valley Country Park which has cycle paths, play area and go-ape.
