Going to fforest fields at the end of the month for a long weekend. Does anyone know if there are any family friendly cycle routes close by as we are taking our bikes and a 7 year old. Not been there before so any advice would be great.

There is a Tesco and an Aldi at Llandrindod Wells, if you ask Katie she will tell you the way to go 'over the hills', it's the loveliest drive to a supermarket you'll ever do! Slightly closer is Builth Wells which has Chinese, Indian, Italian and fish and chips takeaways and also a Co-op and a Spar. We usually eat at the Llanerch, also in Llandrindod, close to Tesco's, very good food and a nice quiet pub, we use it because it allows dogs. I'm sure others will be able to recommend other places to eat out.

Brilliant..although didn't leave the site except to venture into the woods around the site and once to the Tesco you recommended. Great place, actually looking to return for a weekend in the next few weeks! Many thanks for your help. How often do you visit the site ?

Due to the fact we live in Hull and it being a 6 hour journey we usually only get there once a year, we did manage twice one year. We love the place and would go more often if it were closer.

We live about an hour and half away, ut different direction. We first went a few years ago when we were tent camping. We went 6 times last year. Only 2 outings there this year so far. We love it, but do wish there was decent tv signal, for when we go during the colder months and dark nights!
