Hi all. We currently store our caravan at a site and use it quite a lot at that site. Its a lovely site that has all you need (town, pubs, buses etc )within a few hundred yards of the site so when we are there we don't have to drive anywhere. Also its open all year (except January ) and we go there over Christmas. Our problem is they are now saying its a minimum 2 night stay which would mean we would need to go on Friday night if we wanted to stay the weekend and also it would mean me taking Saturdays off. If you take into consideration the cost of staying there 2 night and the money I lose, the weekend cost me around £150 before we've spent anything. Also the Friday night is literally turn up, set up then bed. Can anyone recommend a good, open all year site within an hour drive of Heathrow area that isn't in the middle of nowhere.

if you have been at this site for some years then i would try and negotiate with the owner. I would think that using a totally different site wouldn't gain you the situation you are looking for.
Hi, thanks for the reply. To be honest we have tried to speak to the owner several times about other issues but all that happens is next time we get there a) our caravan has spent the last storage period under a tree and b) we get a pitch completely out of the way and one that is completely in the shade all day long. While its a lovely site, its basically all about the fees.
Think Id rather move elsewhere, owners attitude isn't very good to customers by the sounds of it. Surely if caravan is there you can go as many nights as you want?
