Looking at this site for next year. Just wanted to see if anybody can offer advice on pitches.
We are in a largish tent. Two boys aged 8&11 by then so old enough to have a bit of freedom and will not need to stay within sight of us if ball games / park can't be seen from our pitch.
I don't want to be right next to a play park or toilet block.
I'm thinking of a deluxe pitch for the extra space that will be appreciated in August when it's busy.
Would you recommend deluxe for a tent?
Any area we should be requesting (sheltered would be good I guess?)
Any views on the site in general. My other choice was gwithian farm but I was worried about pitch size and a friend has put me off a little by saying St Ives feels a little too commercial now.
We are looking for somewhere rural. We want to walk to the beach. Don't like entertainment on site.
We usually stay at bay view in croyde but fancy a change. That's the type of site we like though and that sort of proximity to the beach.
Looked at gwithian - site looks perfect but been put off st Ives area by a couple of people who feel it's getting too commercial down there. We think rugged North Cornwall is more Us
Any suggestions that fit the bill welcome - reiterate, must be walkable to the beach. Don't want to have to drive to the beach.
