We are thinking of booking here and its a new one for us, can someone please tell us how far is the nearest beach and can you park your car/van next to the tent? do the local pubs/restaurants allow dogs? Thanks

Never been there, but you might find some of the answers to your questions in the 90 (rather varied) Reviews, which suggest, for example, a 40 minute/3 mile/4 mile walk to the sea.
It doesn't look to far from whitby, probably nore than walking distance, but to answer your question about dogs in pubs, yes most pubs allow dogs in fact i have never found one that turned us away, even pubs that serve food have a doggy corner, we go there at least once a year with dog, there is a farn site that is close to beach and walking distance to whitby called Higher Straggleton farm, its very good.

Thanks for the info Petra, we did look at the reviews first but wasn't sure if they meant the sea at Whitby or robin hoods bay also mix reviews and most are from yrs ago
