I wonder if you can help me? I am looking for a campsite and, due to problems with the campsite search or the reviews that particular campsites have, I am posting a message.
The campsite search, for example, pulls up this site - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=6832 which is New Farm at Wettenhall. I have used the advanced search and selected tents but this site only accepts motorhomes or caravans. I have also found that some campsites in my search don't have EHU for tents and this is no fault of the search as there are EHU available at the particular site but for caravans and motorhomes only. Then, the next thing that has put me off some places that suit my criteria is the reviews. For one site it stated that people stayed up late and that the quiet after 11.00 pm policy was not adhered to or enforced and then, on another review, the particular site was used by contractors who were getting up very early for work so that is why I am struggling.
What I am looking for is a campsite in either Derbyshire or Cheshire that accepts tents and has showers, toilets and electric hookups for tents. Showers without tokens would be nice and somewhere with a bit of peace and quiet. I don't mind a small shop but don't want any clubhouses or anything. I like very good quality facilities and that is my only criteria. I don't like showers in portacabins or anything. I don't mind if it is near a road as long as it is not a major trunk road.
If anybody could give me any pointers to good sites, as a result of their previous stays, that sort of information would be really good. I have been looking through the results for some time now and I am struggling.
Thanks for your help.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Duke of York
this has been taken over and has had a lot of money spent on it so I'd only read this years reviews
Beech croft farm is amazing
There are lots more but these are the ones I've been too
------------- April Peak District Beech Croft Farm
May Peak District Duke of York
May Holland Delfse Hout
June Cotton Arms Nantwich
july/aug Cornwall Pentewan Sands
And quite a few local weekenders
Thank you very much. I've just looked at Lady Heyes but it is booked for when I want to go - which is probably going to be an issue for me for most sites now as I want to go August Bank Holiday weekend.
I looked at Fishpool too yesterday but this was the site where the reviews stated that the quiet after 11.00 pm rule was not adhered to or policed.
I will have a look at Rivendale as I do know where this is, driven past many times. I will have a look at Duke of York too so thanks very much for those suggestions
There's also pomeroy camping opposite the duke of York
Not been yet but booked to go the weekend before August bank holiday

Avoid Lady Heyes, I've stayed there and it was utterly horrendous, noisy and had cans of beer thrown at my little tent at 3am. I've stayed at Delamere forest and Manor Wood, both have everything that you've put on your list.

Sorry, I can't suggest any sites but would agree with the above comment about Lady Heyes - I only went once, the year before last, and hated every minute of my stay there for several reasons. I realise different people will have different opinions of it - there are several people on here who love the place - but I personally would never go back.
