Hi all, new to the forum but have used the excellent site for info for years.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a holiday park with all the usual facilities, indoor pool etc that have tent pitches, preferably along the Dorset or Hampshire coast.
Thanks

Cheers warbis, I don't often use these sorts of places but with the forecast this week I wanted something for the kids to do during the day if it's wet. However haven wanted £150 for three nights!!! Robbing sods. I've found a nice looking place near Bridport called Golden Cap instead, just have to hope the weather improves.
looks like you have Golden cap sorted out.
i stayed there last year and also the sister site, highlands end.
highlands end has the swimming pool, club house etc.
golden cap is on the beach but does not have a pool. there is a nice pub on the beach though. we are going back to Highlands end this august for 10 nights. i hope the weather is going to be ok though. i have been thinking it would have been better to go to france.
we found that the traffic past our pitch on site at golden cap was continuous which meant it was so friendly for my young children. i guess it depends which pitch you can find, they are not allocated. but take my advice and find one away from the main thoroughfares. unless you are on the top field where its so big you wont have a problem.
i wouldn't recommend Haven as they charge £75 a night for a caravan pitch with EHU. and the club houses (to my mind) are like a bad Whetherspoons pub with equally bad clientele.

I've been to golden cap (without kids) loved it, not sure id pick it with kids though. We just fished and enjoyed the gourmet pub.
I've been to Freshwater with kids but early in the season and found it lovely...not sure about prices in high season and how busy it will be but lots for kids to do, big indoor pool if weather not so good as well as outdoor, bowling, play ship ahoy in club house, food on site was decent, had a lovely walk to Burton Bradstock.
A bit further away is Ladram Bay which my kids again loved, the activites I thought were very cheap for the kids to do and we went mackerel fishing and caught our lunch, nice big indoor pool again if weather not so good.

You can get some really good deals on Haven sites we just had 7 nights on electric pitch with tent for £120 ! 2 adults 2 kids and dog with use of all facilities ie swimming pool etc .. don't let that high price put you of checking them out again .
Ulwell Cottage Campsite at Swanage has it's own indoor swimming pool, a play area and a shop. The beach at Swanage (about 2 miles away) is one of the best on the south coast, sandy and ideal for children as the sea is shallow for quite a distance with no sudden ledges.
Ulwell is a little expensive though.
