Hi, first post on here since we upgraded from a tent to a caravan and would like to go away this Christmas for a few days.

Does anyone know of any sites in Devon or Cornwall that have unobstructed sea views and is open over the Christmas period. We don't need anything special, just an electric hookup, and a lovely view :)

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thank you

Steve

Hi,

Not sure about uninterrupted sea views = uninterupted gales from 3000 miles away??

Last year we went to Brugge between Xmas and new year and it was fab!! - like living in Christmas snow globe for a few days. (xmas markets on until about 4th Jan)

New years eve was amazing - A mass sing along in one of the main squares - didn't get started 'till midnight and was full of families and a great atmosphere.

We were in a our motorhome and stayed on the aire but camping memling is open all year for Caravans.

I cant stress enough how fantastic it was - for me Christmas normally falls flat after boxing day but this trip really kept things going.

Not quite what you were asking but maybe food for thought.

Guy.

Hi

We've stayed at Ayr Holiday Park, St Ives (Cornwall) for the last 6 years or so over the Christmas period. Best views ever!

However, we've been there in gale force winds with no protection (not great), the best pitches are usually fully booked from year to year and their prices are well over the top (approx. £37 per night for 2 adults, they charge extra for kids and dogs!).

This year we have booked South Lytchett Manor, near Poole. No sea views but lots of walking, great pub nearby and only £23 or so per night!!

Good luck!
