I am looking for a site that will be celebrating New Year. We have gone away in the caravan for the last 3 years but last year's venue was not very good. We are in Stafford so would prefer to drive no longer
than 90 minutes. We loved Blackmore in Worcester but done it twice now. Last year was Cranberry Moss in Shropshire but not willing to go there again. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go?

We would prefer on site entertainment so we don't have too far to stagger back, but if not, a pub within a few minutes (5) walk.

Hi, you could try Rivendale in Derbyshire. They have a party on New Years Eve. Might be going there ourselves this year. What was Blackmore like for New Year, did they put anything on for you?

Blackmore was good. We went twice then were told the last time that the wardens were moving on so we weren't sure if anything was planned for the following year, hence our change of site last year. We had a really good time both occasions we were there. They have a clubhouse which is a good size and everyone takes their own food and drink. When we were there they had people up dancing, raffles etc. It was very enjoyable.

The only thing that bothers me about Rivendale is is the location. If it snows, it is a bit of a mare getting there. However, on saying that I'll speak to our friends about it. Many thanks for suggesting it. I've tried two sites so far and both are fully booked so we may well book it.
