We were there in May. Make sure you have plenty of pegs in your awning as the wind comes straight off the Mersey.
Site has had a lot of money spent on it since our last visit, looks like they are going down the road of statics. There is a bus stop outside the site that will take you into Southport OR go across the road and the bus will take you into Preston. We enjoyed our stay there.

Had a week at river side sourthport we was on the back field on grass we really had a cracking week kids was at school witch was good so what can I say we are definitely going back soon it's a good site
