Hi can anyone give me the name of a touring site in cornwall preferably with super pitches and a family one with plenty to do for an 11 year old.One near to the beach would be preferable.many thanks.

I like the Haven site at Perran Sands. Early booking and you might get a bargain. I did 2yr ago.

Pentewan sands is possibly the closest to a beach that you can get

It doesn't have super pitches and it isn't right by the sea so may not suit you at all, but if you have time look at the write up in Cool Camping for Trewan Hall site at St Columb Major. A lot of eleven year olds like it there.

If you want to be close to a beach Mother Ivey's Bay will take some beating. Alternatively Churchtown Farm at Gwithian backs on to sand dunes and is 300 metres from the beach. It depends what you are really looking for. If its on site swimming pool and Clubhouse etc you won't find many adjacent to a beach.
Why not look at Woolacombe - sites for all tastes there. I know its not Cornwall but it has one of the best beaches in Europe.

Carlyon bay is fairly close to a beach with some very large pitches + swimmingpool + low key entertainment or as already mentioned Trewan hall free pitching you may get a large pitch depends on other campers pitching around you.
