Can anyone recommend a camp-site (motorhome) that is within walking distance to a train station that has a train to central London (about half an hour or so train journey) to the west of london (M3 or M4)
any ideas gratefully received

Caravan Club site (Wyatts Covert) at Denham just off the M25. The local station will get you a train to take you to Marylebone station.

If you can get two other people from the site to go on the same train then there is quite a reduction in the fare. The warden will have details.

I don't know the site, but Denham is a lovely area, and as a retired Chiltern Line train driver, I can recommend that route into London.

Last time I saw in that area stayed on the Amerden site just off the M4.

The Taplow railway station was within walking distance with mainline trains to Paddington as well as being able to change at Slough for Windsor.
