Yes. Beautiful area, it's in a National Scenic Area, plenty to do. Not going to repeat my review of the site! Walk down into Kippford & have a bar meal at the Anchor Inn, watch the boats & birds especially at sunset. You can also walk east to Rockcliffe around the coast. Buy an OS map & explore. Castles, gardens, fabulous farm shop & tearoom at Beeswing... I'm down in that area (though not to that site, there are others that suit us better as we have a dog) at least once and sometimes more often every year.
