looking at a last minute get away to the lake district. really like the sound of Meathop but cant accommodate us with awning for our trip. would normally look at heaps but looking to arrive Monday so any advice you can give would save us valuable packing time!
2 adults
2 kids 9-12
1 dog
clean shower block (must)
hookup,, with awning
not too big of a site. looked at coniston
walk to water
7 days min so lots to do with dog and kids
does not need to be club site etc, farm site be absolutely brilliant

Have a look at Greaves Farm Caravan Park, Field Broughton, near Cartmel. Small, privately owned site, immaculately kept, no play facilities but lots of open space. Toilet/shower facilities older style but absolutely fine, though showers cost 20p a time. 6 amp electric hook-ups. Very helpful and accommodating owners. Payment in cash or cheque. Excellent reviews on here.
