Can anyone recommend a campsite that is dog and kid and husband friendly???
That is, large open spaces for dogs and kids, play areas, park land for kids to play, ride bikes in......and a pub nearby for hubby ???☺ Thanks x

I can really recommend Lucy's site. I think it's called Tobacconist Farm at Minchinhampton.
I think it has everything you want - Minchinhampton is walking distance with pubs and shops etc. The site is two big fields - if it's not too busy, one field is just used as a play field. Otherwise, there is a BIG space in the middle of the field for children to play, and a small play area where the children tend to meet,
I don't have a dog, but I remember their being at least one big dog there, and I think a little one and there was a pretty relaxed attitude to them.
Cars are not allowed on the camping field except for setting up and taking down, which makes it safer for children and dogs, but they park within eyesight, and they are literally 20 yards away.
You can borrow fire pits for free, and buy the wood from Lucy.
Toilet blocks are clean and lovely and plenty enough showers.
Cotswold view, Charlsbury, great dog walking area. Playing field, giant chess, sand pits, play area, tennis courts, indoor skittles. Massive pitches. Clean and warm facilities. Village not too far walking over the fields or short car drive. Easy to drive to all the quaint villages, like Bourton on the water, there is a zoo here as well, upper and lower slaughter and many more!

I'd like to add my "vote" for Lucy's Farm at Minchinghampton - its a great site, in a lovely part of the country. We were there a couple of years ago and the village pub was closed at the time for renovation. We joined the Workingmens Club that is a couple of doors away, as holiday members - the beers was nice and reasonably priced and the local people were very friendly towards us.

Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
