Hi there,
We're (2 adults, 2 kids) looking for sites in Devon that won't break the bank over the summer and hoping someone on here has stayed at a little gem? We're hoping for under £15 a night, don't need electrics, just toilets and showers really. Have searched the threads and not found anything yet and the map search is daunting!!!
Cheers, Tracy
------------- Very green at camping but full of enthusiasm!!!! :OP
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Try Higher Well Farm, lovely site and owners - we've been going there for 30+ years. Not a commercial site, no pool or anything, but lovely and quiet......
Hi second highwell farm Lovley site very clean facilities not far from Torbay resorts the pitches are huge
Have you considered joining the campingandcaravan caravan club loads of temporary holiday rally's in the summer with facilities on sites very good value and lots you don't have to book just turn up and only pay for night you use

Churchill Farm, Buckfast perhaps.
Sorry to gatecrash - have you visited this site please? The website makes it sound idyllic, but in the absence of any reviews I am concerned that the proximity to a the A38 would generate a background of road noise. Being a tenter (and a light sleeper) wouldmake this a no no for me.

Decent point. I have not actually stayed there so am unable to really comment on the road noise, however I live about a 500mts, straight line, away from the site towards Dartmoor and we are not affected by road noise.
It is a lovely spot with stunning views, and I guess being close to the A38 does make it easy to get anywhere, Plymouth or Exeter about 30 minutes either way, Dartmoor right on the doorstep and a great selection of lovely beaches all within an hour.
The site near Slapton beach would be a real good choice, a stunning area with some of the best beaches around, Slapton, Hallsands, Beesands (my favourite) and Blackpool Sands. Just be aware it will get very busy during the holidays. May, June and September is the best time of year to visit if you can. 😀👍
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
