I've just picked up my new tent and I really want to try it out in half term week. I'm hoping to go to The Lake District for a few days. I have family near by to visit (and dry off if needs be) but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for good sites to use at this time of the year.
I love Low Wray and it is open for the dates. A couple of the Camping and Caravanning club sites would be suitable : Braithwaite Fold, Windermere and maybe Derwentwater.
I just wondered if anyone had any experience of camping at this time of year at a good site.

I would recommend Scotgate Holiday park Keswick, Good facilities and stunning views. We went a couple of years ago in our caravan but plenty of campers there.

Keswick coccyx site it very good with lake views from some pitches. Town is lively at the weekend with good pubs and places to eat but can be dad quiet during the week although should be ok half term.
