Hello,

We have just come back from a fantastic week at Highlands End in Dorset and were particularly impressed with the dog walking field which being like a meadow our springer spaniel loved! We normally camp near a beach but being Derby based we are looking for somewhere in sept for a few nights with tent, ehu, dog, pref a pub onsite or nearby and with a good dog walk field - ideally with in 2 hrs of home. I have been looking for several nights but I am struggling and wondered if there were any recommendations out there.

Thanks
Booster xx

Thank you - I love the idea of Rivendale but OH read a recent review about rats and won't entertain it now :(

I'll check the others out though. Do I need to join to camp at CCC or CAMC?

thanks

It’s best to join - it’s about £10 a night dearer if you’re not a member and the membership is only about £40.

Hi, You won't go far wrong at New Lodge Farm, Bulwick. About an hour and a half from Derby. On their web site, under campsite information they have an aerial view video clip. Towards the end you can see the dog walking field in the top left, fully fenced off with mowed tracks through the grass. There are pubs nearby and a bar, cafe and shop on site.

Dalston Hall, SW of Carlisle. Has the former golf course as the dog run, a huge area, our Cocker spaniel loves it. Off-road walk or cycle into town, Dalston village nearby has pub but the site itself has the bar of the former golf club.

There is a CS Site which is CCC at Brackenfield.
Broomfield Farm
They have EHU, Toilet, shower, slopes but cant have everything.

Dog walks, in fact they train dogs up there so great place.
£10 a night for caravan, think it is cheaper for tent.

Pub. Horse and Jockey Wessington, Kid and Dogs welcome. Great food, also a chip shop opposite.
Pub at Higham Shoulder Mutton dog welcome.
Both about a mile away.
