Does anyone know of a site right on the lakeside please, ie with caravan pitches on the waterfront?
(I like a good view!)

Keswick camping and caravanning club site have some. It’s been a few years since we were there and back then, it was only non awning pitches on the front line.

Yes Keswick do have some but not right on the lake edge. You get a good view but I find getting one of these pitches nearly impossible as you can't book individual pitches. You just have to get there at the right time or be onsite and be ready for a quick move in the morning as someone leaves. It's the same story with the pitches as Wirral country park that face the sea.

I agree Keswick c&cc site . Lovely for children on the lake side walk into town from site x

We have not used it but Pier cottage caravan park on Coniston water is right on the edge,
Has good reviews too

Low Wray national trust campsite has pitches on the Hawkshead side or windermere. Not to far from the ferry. I can recommend it.
