LOOKING FOR ADVICE ON A GOOD CAMPSITE IN OR AROUND THE LANGDALES???
Must accept dogs.
must accept large tents
Shouldnt be too expensive
Hopefully with good shower and toilet facilities
HAve been going to Scotgate in Braithwaite for years and this year bought out by Camping and Caravn club and the prices have more than doubled!!!! So wont be going back gone from £34 to more than £70 per night!!!!!
Thank you In advance
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
There are a couple of campsites - i would avoid the NT campsite unless you intend to join the drunken groups coming back from the dungeon ghyll hotel tripping over guy ropes, etc. Though the reviews look good so maybe I was unlucky - the location is stunning.
http://baysbrownfarmcampsite.co.uk - is good but no prebooking.

I'll second Bays Brown, at Chapel stile. Our favourite campsite. Beautiful views, a river and walks in all directions, COOP and Wainwright pub a short walk away.
There's no pre booking but it's huge and we have never had a problem getting on.
The top field , on either side of the road is nearer the facilities. We prefer the bottom field, further to the bathrooms but we like having more space.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
