I'm a full time paediatric nurse and my partner is a full time cable engineer- we are looking to move out of our rented house and into a caravan on order to save money for a deposit for a house. We don't have a caravan yet (still looking as someone stole our deposit we put down one - we should get it back due to the post being fraud) and wanted to know if anyone knew of a place in Surrey/Berkshire that offers long term rented plots for caravan living? We will have a 10 year old child every second weekend. I am also thinking of living back at my parents, which will be hard at 36 years old but we are determined to get a deposit. Has anyone lived in a caravan long term and is this way a good way to save up? I'm getting down and stressed about it all as we have had to already hand in our house notice as I managed to get a job by my mums town and we did not want to pay another huge month of rent, bills etc, but now hr are taking ages and I still have to give my current employer 2 months work notice .. so by Jan 7th, we will have nowhere to live unless we can find somewhere decent and affordable. We are not noisy, very clean and respectful - simply want somewhere nice to live for a year or so. Can anyone help please?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

cant you park your caravan at your mums house? and just use it as the bedroom, as that is allowed by the councils as long as you eat cook and bath in the house, it also solves the post, bank and insurance issue out too

When you say caravan, do you mean a tourer or are you thinking of a static on a park?

Freedom is a light caravan and an open road.
