Hi everyone, we have a tourer sited all year on a site and are looking for another site within waking distance of a town or village we have 4 dogs when altogether and a one year old baby, so needs to be pet and family friendly. Can anyone suggest a site, must have toilet block and showers, and be around a maximum 2 hour drive from Leeds West Yorkshire. We are looking for a small countryside site.
Thanks Chris

We were charged just over £20 per night over Christmas, reduction for stays of over 7 nights. Most of the site is taken up by what look like permanently sited tourers, don't know how that works.

Thank you. With the site we are on now we pay for the season and then for winter storage but the van stays pitched. The site closes on 31 Oct but we are allowed to go as long as we pay for electric.

Bardsea Leisure is open all year and has a mixture of statics, permanently sited tourers and relatively few touring pitches. No price is given for the year round tourer pitches, you need to contact them via the form on their website (or I guess you could phone them). The shower/toilet facilities are very good, consisting of underfloor heated rooms with shower, toilet and washbasin, there is a nice little play area and plenty of dog-walking nearby, as well as a small area on site for dogs. There is a Co-op and a family friendly pub which serves good food within 5-10 minute walk and Ulverston itself is a 20 -30 minute walk.
