It's the sort of thing that bothers me so I always take note of it in reviews.
I think a lot of it depends on the wind direction, time of year and tree cover. For instance my friend's farm is 2 miles from the M40 - on some days you can hear the constant hum of the traffic, others nothing at all.
We did stay on a lovely site near Poitiers - surrounded by tiny country lanes so no road traffic. Unfortunately the TGV line was 2 fields away so plenty of train noise instead
It looks lovely from teh photos, but the prevailing wind will be from W/NW so you might well get road noise. Maybe plan a night or two there as a trial, as part of a longer break? Individual tolerances of noise are very different.
------------- Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!
we stayed here in 2018. It was beautiful. We were in a tent and did not find the traffic noise a problem. There were a few noisy campers (beyond the supposed curfew) but they were nice people so we let it go.
If the weather is good you can watch the most glorious sunsets over the sea.
It was not busy when we were there as it was outside school holidays but alot of people came (from the wirral area) over the weekend.
everything very clean. We ate at the golf club and ti amo in the village. lots of walking nearby. easy to get to good beaches. I hve tried to add a photo:
A55 past conway, go past a shell garage to the roundabout and take the exit and continue on the conway road into penmaenmaur as you come into the village you will see shops with a veranda over the pavement, you need to signal left, and slow right down, this is a very very tight left back on yourself, this is conway old road its narrow and parked cars until you get past the cemetary the entrance is about 1/2 mile on the right past the cemetary
It's definitely down to wind direction, I'd say.
Draw a straight line from this site to the local pub (The Gladstone), and precisely halfway along that line is where we have pitched our tent on two separate occasions (Pitch 1 on the tent field at Tyddyn Du Touring Park), so maybe 300-600m or so nearer to the A55 (depending on where you pitch).
We've had almost silent nights, and also nights where you could hear the constant drone of distant traffic. Not enough to disturb our sleep, but I guess that's not relevant, as we're all different. That's in a tent, not an insulated caravan.
On a separate note, whilst Tyddyn Du is perfectly lovely, and we would certainly stay there again, (We love this area, and enjoy the cycling through Conwy into Llandudno) it is a caravan park predominantly, and I do like the look of this Trwyn Yr Wylfa Farm Campsite (Of which I wasn't aware), so we may well give this one a try next time we are over that way, so thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I suspect it may well get windy, too. We were extremely grateful for the extra "windbreak" the very first time we went to Tyddyn Du, setting up with gusts in excess of 50mph (coming from the West)...
