Arrived on site today, told to choose a pitch, but not those with a cone on, about 3/4 pitches.
We would have chosen one of the ones with a cone.
As far as i know, it is not possible to reserve a particular pitch on a Club site?
Am I right?
I will ask Wardens if I see them, but they are keeping out of the way.

i had the same thought but 3/4 of the pitches? it wouldnt be worth even opening wouldnt cover the wardens wages

Sounds like some pitches were pre-booked, whatever they may say. If the pitches with cones on are now occupied it couldn't have had anything to do with Covid, which was my first thought.

good grief must be nearly empty then if 3/4 of them are coned off, its not that big to start with

Were the pitches all together in a group? Could they have been by the toilet block and reserved for disabled members? OR are the units now on the pitches large units that might not fit on smaller pitches. Sometimes wardens do have to manage pitches for the reasons I mentioned.

We had this at Pembrey CMC site some years ago - four prime adjoining pitches "out of use", until the wardens mates turned up.

David K, I think you are correct about the long unit suggestion, I can see that 2 of the vans on coned pitches are Twin axle.

hi, the reserved pitches could have been cc club local centre holding a rally, our centre are holding a rally on Blackpool club site in September and we usually have a number of pitches reserved together.                  royell,

No ralley, and the pitches are not near each other, I think it is to do with the length if the van.
