I have a large twin wheel base motor home this is the first time I have had one and would like to know the best sites will and will not take them as I have been told that some don’t like them

We mainly use Caravan and Motorhome club sites and have seen lots of really enormous motorhomes on site. A couple we use have even converted a few pitches for the really big American style RVs that are the size of a bus!
A specific length would be helpful.
Nothing about not liking them. It’s just that some sites don’t have hard stands that are long enough. And sites on a slope may not be able to take you because there’s no room to overhang the end, it’ll bump into the ground at the back.
You’ll just have to phone & check.

Apart from twin axle units being larger and sometimes difficult to fit on pitches, I believe one of the objections is they tend to plough up the ground more, especially grass, when making tight manoeuvres, as the 2nd axle wheels have a tendency to be forced sideways in tight turns and cause damage to surfaces.
I don't think either club has a anti policy for their sites and certainly seen twin axles on the hard standings at CAMC sites, but private sites are a law unto themselves and often have all sorts of rules and exclusions that impact in numerous ways, you can only check with each site as required.
I don’t know where you’re based, angie55 (I can’t see people’s profile on the mobile) but I’ve seen what we call horse boxes at Mortonhall (Edinburgh, attracts European vehicles) & Blair Castle (Pitlochry), both independent sites.
You also don’t want to risk a grass pitch in case you have to get towed off, which we’ve seen on a CCC site.
