Hi, we're looking for a site with a river where we can launch a kayak, preferably on the edge of a forest or wooded area, with a pub within walking distance. We'll only get 3 nights away in May so it needs to be within say 2.5 hrs of Gloucestershire.
We have a VW T5, trailer and awning, 2 adults & 3 teenagers.
cotton arms wrenbury cheshire 2 1/2 hrs away on llangollen canal, at the back of PUB, great food, not expensive to pitch and an easy drive for you up the m5/m6 to the site
We had a great trip down the Wye Valley: site beside the water near Symonds Yat (sorry if I’ve misspelled that), pub nearby, wooded, people passing in various canoes & kayaks, very scenic. But it was very long ago & I think it’s not a site now. However, I looked at the site search here, and there still seem to be plenty of sites along the river.
