Thinking of going away for a few days to St Neots site. The reviews on the whole look good. Anyone disagree?

Nice place we were there the other week for 6 days. It's right on the river Ouse. The town is nice but not too many shops and a few nice pubs and river walks. Just be careful with the route that you take when you are near the campsite don't trust your sat nav.

Lovely little site with options of walking along the river to lock and using the pub in the mill. Alternatively a short walk into the town. Recommended.

Camcroft and David Klyne, thank you both for your messages. We’ll plan our route without the sat nav. Like the sound of walking along the river. 😊

Agree with all the above. Only problem was the initial booking in on site. You enter thru the edge of a housing estate, so the lane in is not very generous, only about maybe 4 units space to queue, and if it is peak time it is not ideal. We had a lovely stay with friends, who only lived in Bedford, and had never visited the site. We were all impressed, especially as they had 2 toilet blocks, so that there was no access problem during their cleaning programme. Would return, good walks for dogs.

Thank you pendywooley. We have just been looking at the housing estate on Google maps. Hopefully if we decide to go we won’t be one of many turning up at the same time.

It depends what day you go. We have been before and there was a queue and the last time we were the only ones there. When you enter the housing estate there will be parked cars on the road you just have give way to oncoming traffic and vice versa.
