Has anyone been here? Directions say to approach from Lakenheath, but routeplanners have a different idea. I would have thought that the best route from the A11 would be A1065/B1112.

Am I missing something?
I assume that the site would know the best route as below:
Who knows what nasty narrow / tricky bits are around there.

From Lakenheath, take the turning signposted "Sedge Fen", (in the High Street). Follow the signs to the Sedge Fen Baptist Church (Looks like a house). At the corner near the church, turn right so that you pass the church on your left. Follow the single track road round a sharp left hand bend (about half a mile) to The Paddock. The entrance to the site is straight in front of you. If travelling from the A1101 Littleport/Mildenhall road, follow signs to Sedge Fen Baptist Church - the turning is 1 mile south of Shippea Hill railway station.
If you are approaching on the A11 from Newmarket/Cambridge it would be advisable, at busy times, to leave the dual carriageway at Red Lodge, Leave the dual carriageway via the slip road, turn right, then left at the roundabout following the signs to Worlington. Then turn right at the T junction heading for Mildenhall, joining the A1101 at the mini roundabout in Mildenhall and head towards Littleport. At the roundabout at the end of RAF Mildenhall you can either take the Littleport road or go right for Lakenheath.
The B1112 from Icklingham to Eriswell is open again and Work is complete on the A11 Fiveways roundabout (Mildenhall) to Thetford improvements.

i havent been on that site mrs bounce, but after looking on google maps and also the sites web site, im going to say i would be ignoring their directions, and go to the big roundabout to barton mills, take the left exit on the A1101 and follow that taking the second mini roundabout turning right past raf mildenhall, follow that road for a couple of miles and then take the right signposted sedge fen baptist church

Just re-reading the posts and wonder why you said "am I missing something" Wendyhouse?

The site info says to approach from Lakenheath, so I thought that would be best.

Mrs Bonce.
I read your post as though you did not want to use the site recommended route.
Just posted the directions in case you hadn’t seen them

it is not east at he moment. The road in Eriswell (to lakenheath) is closed until mid November!!!!! If you turn towards brandon at 5 ways rondabout in 2 miles you would normally turn right for lakenheath. Cannot do. Carry on past the airfield and take the first left. Follow to end then left for lakenheath. In lakenheath take road on right which will lead you to a right turn (on a left hand corner)which will take you to the site.
Sorry so long but that is the current easy route.
I live in Lakenheath.
