Hello, I want to go camping with my two children. My youngest is disabled and she can be very noisy when upset. You can imagine a 3 year old screaming may not be welcomed by other campers. Does anyone know of inclusive campsites where we can go and won't need to worry about her waking the full camp. Ideally north west/ peak District
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
the amount of parents that come on here asking the same thing! basically once they get over the excitement of going camping the fresh air takes over, sleep comes really quickly and very easily but dont try to inflict their usual routines for bedtime, it doesnt work! best to let them play until sleep takes over, have a few things ready for the morning to keep them quiet toys food drink etc, and if all that fails then retreating to site toilet block will help with the noise and is a suitably boring place to work as a deterrent if they simply wont shut up.
All cbilldren are different but I found camping club rallies were a good place to start asked if Ok when booking and asked to go at furthest point. As most of them were caravaners they already had a bit of sound proofing
No electric kept things calm and quiet, own sanitation kept things normal. Only special thing was Camping pants (Huggies nighttime pants ) used as as when needed AM / PM (who knew ) and without a washing machine in the tent made life a lot less stressful.
You will find what works for you and yours
