2 adults and 6 cocker spaniels we are looking for a touring park who would allow us with single axle caravan and 6 dogs - can anyone recommend anything?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Silvercraigs at Kirkcudbright, in Galloway. You choose your pitch when you book, owned by the community. No limit on dogs (obviously under control), no charge for dogs, Barrhill woods on the hill directly behind the site or a long walk from the site around St Mary’s Isle.
Six cockers - respect! One is hyper enough!!

I thought they limit to 2 only
I checked their website and can't find any limit anywhere.
Better write to them to check for certain, as I too thought they would allow 2 may be 3 the maximum!

No particular sites to recommend beyond CAMC sites which are dog friendly, I've only got one Border Collie, so no worries about multiple dogs, but more offering hope that it is easily doable.
Friends of mine have multiple dogs, one with 4 (or 5 if looking after a rescue foster) all Border Collies, who camps in a tent, another, a caravaner, with 6 dogs (3x Border Collies, 1x Sprollie, and a couple of little un's), another had two Collies (lost one Collie, now got a Springer Spaniel) and a Spitz (and sometimes a Chihuahua too), they are very rarely refused access to camp sites. Thing they do is contact site directly to discuss, then show photos of their 'Dog Gardens' if necessary, both very responsible owners with the right attitude and respect to other campers, the one with 6 dogs even has 'references' from a site they use regularly to reassure other site owners.
On CAMC sites I've certainly seen multiple dogs in excess of 2. Friend with 6 dogs is a CAMC member and seems to have little difficulty on CL sites which they favour over main club sites.
I organise a rescued Border Collie owners camping rally, we have multiple attendees with more than 2 dogs (mostly Border Collies), think our max total head count has been 40 dogs in our group of 15 pitches, site owners have been very happy with us and we are welcomed back year after year. A lot of how you are accepted or rejected revolves around how you project yourself and dogs to the site owner when you contact them, no one wants a selfish irresponsible owner and nuisance dogs!
Tips for being camp friendly: Keep dogs corralled/tethered on pitch, only walk dogs on lead and keep well off other peoples pitches, clear up mess, keep noise under control (that's NOT just barking! - it includes yelling owners trying to keep control too!), then there is little to reasonably complain about. Act irresponsibly and the complaints about you will role in to site management (I'm a dog owner and have complained about those sorts!), and you may well be asked to leave. Remember, your dogs can have an influence on other people's dogs (and vice versa!), and the annoyance levels can escalate!

Thank you Fiona - we live in the South West (Gloucester) so a little too far for us.
Sorry, I can’t see anyone’s location on the UKCS mobile version. 10 hours drive was indeed a little too far when we came down to Gloucester, you’re right. Hopefully people will recommend some closer independent sites for your & the pack.
