Hey guys, newbie here! I’m currently in need of temporary accommodation but have a caravan! Does anyone know of or can recommend a site that could help me? Anywhere in England I’d consider - I have 2 labradors with me,
Thank you in advance,
Melissa
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
You would need an address for your post and for car registration, car and caravan insurance and driver's licence. Most sites will not allow you to use their address. Not much point having a postal address in north of England and you are living in the south somewhere so you need to think about that one first.
Living full time in a caravan can be quite rewarding and I am talking from experience. We would stay on one site for 10 months and then for the winter months move to another site. That way you are not regarded as living permanently at one address and there fore are not liable for council tax.
Touring sites usually have a maximum continuous stay (occupation of van/MH etc.) of 21 or 28 days, this is part of their license to operate conditions from local authority, to prevent permanent residency, that may interfere with your plans. Way around that is to move off site for a day, then return, it's a bit of a technicality get around, fulfilling the letter of regulation rather than spirit, some sites will play ball, others may not! - not encouraging law/rule breaking, but some sites seem to turn a blind eye if you don't actually physically leave for a day, only book in accordance of regulation!
A day of all things motorhome and campervan. The show is held both in the main indoor arena and across the grounds. Catering, hot drinks and food options are available. Easy access to the site and free parking included. Win one of five pairs of day tickets
