Am looking for some help and suggestions, me and a group of friends are doing a charity run/cycle next year starting in North Wales, passing through England and Scotland to then get the ferry across to Northern Ireland.
I am looking for camping suggestions in North Wales near the border to England. Then the next day it will be somewhere near Bolton Le Sands and finally on the last day it would be near Dumfries.
Any recommendations on campsites would be amazing help.
Thanks very much.

Dumfries to the ferry port at Cairnryan (not Stranraer) is 70 miles, not a problem for a fit cyclist. (A friend did LEJOG via Ireland, I know his usual distances). However, please please be careful - the A75 is notorious for accidents, HGVs heading to / from the ferry are known to go onto the grass verge to allow overtaking on 2-lane stretches. I used to go to an office in Newton Stewart and everyone who worked there had been in a RTA on that road. If you choose to detour to the quieter route round the coast or inland via New Galloway it will obviously take more than the one day you've allowed.
I have often seen cyclists camping for a night at the Silvercraigs site overlooking Kirkcudbright (not far from the A75, but not close to Dumfries); they were all touring. Have a look at the free app called "Scotland Starts Here", there's a Tours section, with Cycling within that: the Challenging Rides, Gravel Rides or Multi-day Tours may be helpful.
Good luck with raising money for whatever charity is benefitting.
