Grawen campsite near oen y fan looks lovely and has good reviews. But some reviews say the facilities are awful. Indeed the website says there are showers but doesn't mention toilets. So has anyone stayed there? Are there showers and toilets? Are they OK, good or awful? Anyone's.pwrsonal.experiences please

There are so few reviews that you can read back to 2016 in a minute or two. One review praises the showers, another praises the toilet facilities.
Check the several very low scoring reviews in case they’re critical of something that’s important to you, otherwise ignore them.
the green logos in the ukcs listing show toilets, as well as a bunch of other stuff, so I wouldn't worry about that. Most of the reviews seem positive. As a tenter, the comments on uneven ground and midges would put me off a bit, but if you're in a van it's less of an issue.

That's how I interpreted their site listing, in that the toilet symbol is green meaning there is at least 1 toilet available.
What worried me about this site is being boggy in places. Currently I do not carry any drive on/off parking mats as I tend to book hardstanding with EHU pitches instead of grass with EHU.
There had a a couple of times when I was asked to go on a grass with EHU pitch when I arrived at the campsite. Fine when the weather and ground were dry, however, it could be slippery and I might have been stuck had it rained heavily during my stay and the ground became soggy.
Probably need to carry a set of drive on/off mats for a peace of mind.

your ex panel van is not of any real weight to worry, unless in extreme conditions with weeks of heavy rain and true flooding of the site, even then there would be at least one 4x4 that if asked nicely would tow you off to suitable ground. keep your storage space for more important stuff. we rally a lot, and our car is 2.5 ton with a 2 ton caravan. only once have we ever had to be dragged off a pitch and that was on a farmers field where EVERY car and caravan was dragged on and then dragged back off 4x4s included!
