Can anyone recommend a nice campsite that has a lot of good facilities for me and my partner to enjoy while I’m recovering from foot operation? I need somewhere that has a bar/ restaurant onsite , possibly a swimming pool or spa but that’s not essential.Up to 100 miles from Yorkshire as I don’t mind travelling. Not too rural as I will be pretty much unable to bear any weight for a while so could do with things nearby. I’ll be mainly sitting reading but it would be nice to be able to hobble to a change of scenery for a meal.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Check out the Holgates sites in Lancashire. We like Bayview but it doesn’t have a pool. They have another one called Silverdale which has everything you are looking for.
Try the Site Search too: ask for disabled facilities to guarantee you can get a shower, add pool & pub etc (I’m not sure you’d be able to swim until the operation wound has completely healed, but nice for your partner). Check sites with high scores, read a couple of recent reviews.
We stayed at a site near to Silverdale; you can read Silverdale reviews, nice setting (if I recall) but it was rural, not particularly close to anything to do off site but pleasant exploring in a car.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
