I have been very remiss and not written any reviews on our campsites visited this year. I have just sent in five!
I noticed a lot of campsites had no recent reviews and I think it's quite sad. Supposedly no one visited our sites but it is an easy thing to forget to write a review and they are so good to read when making your mind up whether to visit.
Note to self - don't forget to write a review.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I always review sites, even for 1 night stays. And now that our camping nights are counted by the nights stated on the review, it's a matter of pride to send them in. However, I have now noticed that some sites that have say 5 reviews, they are all mine......Before I would update every year or so. Or maybe it's only me who goes to the same sites very regularly?
Submitting a review will earn more photo allowance too!
Also, they will show up on one's site and night counts.
I do not always write a review for sites that I stay at regular intervals though, unless there is something new to write about, rightly or wrongly.

We try to never go to the same sites, unless it's a stopover. I do have 3 reviews to do from our last trip, and from where we are now. Olympics are getting in the way.

I’ve noticed the same thing for us. I always do a review of every site we stay on, as I like the fact I can look back on where we have been as a reminder. However, this year we have been to one site on 3 occasions and last year we went to it twice, so almost all the reviews for the site are by me! I try to think of something different to comment on each time, hence why one of my reviews last year was more like a review of the nearby minor injuries unit, however, you never know, that might be useful to someone!

We are the same, we have a few that aren't too far and we like. I feel if the site has an up to date review people are more likely to take notice than the 2021 or 2022 reviews.
Don't forget that ukcampsite has a massive catalogue of reviews over thousands of campsites so not one everyone will have regular reviews. When I was touring I tended to "over Review" sites especially those I went to on a regular basis.

I always review, sometimes only briefly to note the differences if I've reviewed recently. I find my own review useful if I'm wondering about going back, like a diary entry - might not be any use to anyone else though!
I'm especially particular about posting if there have been some bad reviews and I find things to be very different (i.e. better): it's only fair for the site.

Agree with Fiona , especially on last point. Often see a bad review is from someone who has only ever left one review. Sometimes a few recent reviews can give a more balanced view.

Some people put the most ridiculous reason to find fault.
I find that is true with any reviews, hence I prefer to read the good ones as well as the bad ones, and to check out the proportion of good vs. bad.

I always post a review of any sites I visit and I also send in details of any new sites as well. Now the kids are grown up we don't tend to go to campsites unless abroad. Our backpacking usually involves camping in the middle of nowhere.
I always review sites we have visited for the first time, but don't always review ones we go to regularly, like C&CC Sandringham which we go to nearly every year to visit friends. Sandringham doesn't change very much, although I did notice that the ready-camp tents weren't there this year unless they have moved them.

Glad you did your review on Haw Wood Farm as we were looking at going there and you swayed us with your excellent review. Not too far from us, off there in about 6 weeks time. Thanks
