On the A5, near Ivetsey Bank. Wanted to stay there for 2 nights, phoned, no email. They "haven't updated their website" and the price is now £30 per night, not the £21 as advertised. Not impressed and not going there. I daresay those who go to the V festival are ok with that, we are not.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We've just moved from a 4 star site in France, worked out at under £17 a night - car and caravan, 2 adults, 2 dogs, huge pitch with 16amp hook up, good quality toilet and shower facilities, heated
pools still open, and a fishing lake. That was the price with the ACSI card, but even the standard price for the pitch + electric was about £20.
We're now on a 2 star municipal (no pool or lake but a short stroll from the Loire and an attractive village, with huge pitches, 10 amp electric and decent facilities) which is about the same price (just under £17 - would be a bit cheaper if we didn't have the dogs).
There's just no comparison with UK prices.

We are at Ashby Lane Farm CL near Lutterworth ATM. A basic £15 with metered ehu. Handy for a stopover near the M1. Recently stayed at a site near Lowestoft (nearest to SIL) which charged £6 pn for ehu. Taking the **** or what?

No, £26 with ehu! Won't be staying there next year even though it was convenient, also down a narrow lane with a hotel at the end so very busy and a tethered horse in the same field! Badly cut grass.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
