North Wales, before attending a big conference for my service charity club in the area, can't wait!

Just been away for 4 days midweek for the second week running, staying at home to recover & prepare for local VE80 events.
Hope the warm weather comes as promised for the long weekend for everyone, at home or away.
Walton on Thames until the Sunday as we need to get back for a hospital appointment.
A bit limited as to what we can do for a while now, as Young Auntie broke her wrist about 3 weeks ago. We had to go to the local A&E then to our one on return home. They were concerned that it may need re aligning, but she saw the consultant earlier this week who decided to leave well alone.
I have taken note of his warning about the state of her bones and have confiscated her skate board. Trouble is, when she mentioned getting back to cycling, there was that intake of breath and a “hmmmm”. I suspect a fall from her bike could have serious consequences. But to keep her spirits up, I have already investigated the availability of electric folding trikes.

Well I did record my hospital radio show as planned, and I'm now listening to it playing back. The laying on my sun lounger didn't happen though as despite being nice and sunny, it was too cold and having hurt my back over the weekend, if I got down onto it I probably couldn't get up again.
Still in North Wales, it's dry and sunny, however, temperature barely hit the low teens during day time, and I needed to have the heating on at night.
I have already booked next year's trip for the same weekend, currently at a C&CC club site in Northumberland. However, I may change it to an adult only site to avoid the critters and ankle biters. They kind of spoilt it for me in the past 3 days.

I took my daughter out to the coast for the day yesterday and passed lots of campers & caravans heading home.
Hope you all had a lovey time, I was slightly jealous.

Nothing last weeked, but having seen the weather forecast I have just booked a couple of nights for the upcoming weekend. Daughter has a new tent she is desperate to try out.
We don't go at bank Holidays since retiring. We had 9 days in Malvern in late March, nice weather but cool. Came home for 3 days,as forecast was good had another 10 days in North Wales lovely weather and so peaceful

Having collected my new VW T6 campervan on Friday I went to Romney Meadows for Sat and Sun nights - I was glad of the heating it was very windy and cold. Went to New Romney on Sunday and had lunch on the Turkish restaurant, then on Monday went to Rye then to the Romney Wartime Collection which I recommend
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
