Looking for recommendations please for a campsite somewhere around the 7 bays area between Bedruthan Steps and Padstow that has sheltered areas - not cliff top! Had the get blown away experience before and looking for a little safety if we have the joy of camping through a storm. Thanks in advance

My choice as you have a tent would be Dennis Cove at Padstow - definitely sheltered because it’s on the estuary side, and just a short stroll into Padstow town. The downside is you need to drive maybe ten minutes every day to get to the lovely windswept bays which you mentioned. A compromise.
Treyarnon Bay is a lovely site I have stayed at before. The tent pitches are towards the back of the site and well sheltered, but the site itself is next to an amazing beach.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
