Hi there!
We are interested in exploring the idea of the seasonal/full time job opportunities available on the many campsites. Has anyone got any advice or tips for us in terms of starting up, experience, hours, what to consider etc? Thanks in advance.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
You may gain some insight from current AND past adverts for what sites seek.
I'm not sure that the Clubs (CAMC and CCC) take on casual labour, I think their wardens are salaried, and do seasons on a site before being rotated to other sites for a new season. Independent sites often operate very differently to the Club sites, so maybe some different scope there.
But has to be said, we are approaching the end of the season, and a great many sites close down through the winter months, even many Club sites, so job opportunities may currently be at a seasonal low!
Thanks for your reply.
We appreciate that the season is coming to an end and know that we need to start looking at the 2026 season to start our adventure.
WE would really like to know how feasible it is to offer our services to a site and what the realities are that we may not have thought of.
I haven’t looked at those job adverts, so this might not apply (and yes, I can be over cautious) - speaking as a volunteer, as I’m possibly going to be alone with a child / children, I have to be registered in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme (managed by Disclosure Scotland). It doesn’t cost anything, but it’s a useful part of a CV. Or you might have to limit your search to adult only sites - and even they might have vulnerable adults staying.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
