Hi there,

Quite a big ask here and have given up searching .

I’m trying to organise a get together for 7 families for next year.

We have 2 caravans
A self built camper conversion
a tent box
Tent x3

We also live between Heathrow, Caerphilly, Liverpool and Middlesbrough.

Kids are aged between 3-13

Trying to find somewhere North of Heathrow so that Middlesbrough don’t have a 4-5 hour journey , that will take all types of accommodation (the tent box owner does also have a tent if needs be) and has a bit for the kids to do if it’s raining ie an arcade or an indoor pool etc but also has plenty of space for them to run around .

I feel like these places don’t exist anymore as I can’t find anything .

All suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Try The Field Camping in Coleford

It's a simple field with a contact phone number. They seem to have room for groups. Give them a ring for more details etc. I'm not sure of facilities.

It's in the Forest of Dean near Coleford, Gloucestershire. There are lots of tourist things to do around.

Many years since we stayed there as a very large group, but try Billing Aquadrome.

Search for sites which have a rally field. You may be able to book the whole field.

Alternatively, if you are a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club, you might be able to book an entire CS for your group if you book early enough. Certificated Sites

Many standard sites have rules that prohibit groups of more than 2 units camping together so one of the above options might be your best bet.

Another vote for booking an entire CL (if it takes tents, many don’t) or CS. Check it has a toilet & shower.
I did that for a significant birthday; site far too far from your area to recommend it, however.
I think some rally fields might limit booking to named groups (X dog agility group, Y canoe club), but I could be wrong.

Hatton Country World near Warwick ia advertising that they have a rally field so that might be worth a go.
It might be on the higher end cost wise as it's quite a big commercial operation, but on the upside, there is an entire farm park on site with a café and they have a range of events too.
They used to have a farm shop but I'm not sure if that's there any more; plenty of farm shops nearby however plus all the usual supermarkets.
The other advantage is that you have all the attractions of Shakespeare country on your doorstep - Warwick and Kenilworth Castles, Stratford upon Avon itself etc.
