Hi,

We have recently returned from 2 weeks at Cofton. I don't fish and have no idea what a permit cost, but I would like to make a general comment about the site...

Although there was a new fecilities block nearing construction, there were no where near enough showers or toilets. There were only 2 chemical disposal points, both being quite a walk from our pitch. The pool could not contend with the number of people using it on a nice day. The lifeguard had to clear the pool of all inflatables one afternoon. Although there was a dedicated football area, some teenagers still wanted to play in the pool area.

It looked to me like to owner was expanding the number of pitches at a fast rate, but expanding the facilities at a slower rate.

Also the beach at Dawlish Warren, which is the nearest and could be walked to, is nothing special, likewise other beaches in the area.

I have read reports that this site is much better than Lady's Mile down the road, I dread to think what that's like.

Hello

We are going for the second time this year in September.  Really like the site. Very clean and well looked after.  We have been 3 times in the past two years.  My Hubby fishes there and in May the permits were either £25 or £30 per week for 2 rods.  The biggest fish he caught was a 16 pounder but there are bigger ones in there so we have been told.  Only 3 weeks and will be there again.  Not that I'm counting or anything.

We'll be there on the 22nd August with our UKCS flag. Hope to see you all. If there are any fishermen/women I'd appreciate [fishing] instruction

We've fished there, its not bad. Permits are about £5 a day. They do seem to be very full in the school holidays and I would agree that the facilities are stretched at these times but it is still a nice site.
