Hiya,

we are intending to take our 14 month old son camping next week for the second time this summer.

The first time we went everything was brilliant except out son would wake up a couple of times in the night and was extremely hard to settle, obviously the fact that we were in an unfamiliar tent was slightly disturbing for him.  It was also all the more stressful for us when we can here occupants of neighbouring tents tutting and sighing,

Does anyone know of a WELL SPREAD OUT campsite where neighbouring tents may be less disturbed! (pretty much any area will be considered but preferably south coast).

Any help would be really appreciated.

Claire

Don't worry about the crying.  Give your son time and he will settle.  Everyone has been through this when their kids were young.

Absolutely, those tutting cannot remember what it was like to have a baby to settle, especially in unfamiliar surroundings. If you go to a 'family' site then people should be respectful, as we're all in the same boat aren't we?
