If so, we camped about 1/2 hour away earlier this year. Our kids loved the Blue Reef Aquarium which is at Newquay - right on the sea front. There's no cinema at Newquay which is strange as it's quite a big place. Think the nearest one is Truro or Wadebridge? (Just in case the weather's not a good as you would like it to be!)
We spent a good day at Cornwall's Creally Adventure Park and as it was only 10 mins drive from our site we went back for a second time as the ticket allows you to do that without paying again. A couple of good water rides there. Not sure of the ages of your kids so if they're very little perhaps best to check out their website for a better idea of suitability?
Years ago, when our kids were younger they enjoyed Dairyland (I think that's what it was called, or Dairyworld or something similar) which is, from memory, quite close to Newquay but my geography isn't much better than my memory!
But if the weather's kind to you the best (and cheapest) entertainment for the kids is to spend days on the beach with those little bodyboards. They just love it! Loads of small beaches around that area with great rock pools for the kids too so remember to take the shrimp nets with you too!
I have just returned from Crantock, just outside Newquay, with my 2 daughters, 9 & 13 and have to agree with Fruitymiss, you just cant beat days on the beach. Even if the weather's not up to much. I sent for a booklet called "Kids Cornwall" (go onto "google" and put in "kids cornwall", it's only £3) which is full of great ideas, and not all expensive. To break the journey up, as I was towing the caravan on my own, I stayed over at Bowdens Caravan Site in Langport, Somerset for a night. This is a site about 15 mins off J23 of the M5. Great site and really nice owners.
St Ives is lovely but invariably very busy, and perhaps not perfect for young kids. If you can get to the Eden Project it is definitely worth a visit but as Fruitymiss says, the beaches are really good and kids can be amused for hours with a body board. Lifeguards are good and ensure the beaches are safe for all.
There's also a nice park in Newquay itself with a minature train, crazy golf etc. etc. which will fill a chunk of a day!

Don't miss Dairylands your kids will love it, and it doesn't even matter if it rains cos it's got a great indoor play area with huge slides and stuff. Also, Flambards is a good day out and a place called the Cornish Gold Mines (I think!) where kids can actually pan for gold (it's pyrite really!) and dig for treasure. You can also paint your own pottery which my kids loved. (I did one too!!)
If you and your kids like animals, Gweek Seal Sanctuary is nice.
Mevagissey is a lovely little place with nice shops to have a walk around and also Perranporth. If you go to Mevagissey, take the coast road back to Newquay as it's a lovely scenic drive, past Watergate Bay and many others.
Where abouts are you staying? Newquay is great, we've already booked to go back to Trevornick next year (that was our introduction to camping - in a eurotent - last year and got us totally hooked, we now have our own tent)
Hope you have a great time and the weather stays good for you!

When we got down there our site gave us a booklet with loads of places and some vouchers in. What we tend to do is, a day out and then a day at the beach/pool followed by another day out and stick to that pattern. Nequay zoo is very nice, although I'm not sure of the prices. Have you tried ebay for any vouchers? Try typing in newquay vouchers.
