as a kid my old man took me to a cmap site called landbeach marina park Ely Rd
Waterbeach Cambridge Cambridgeshire, it is listed on here with a phone no but i cannot get an answer ?? i want to know if it still excists as i would very much like to take my family there in my 8 berth trailer tent, if anyone lives in the area and knows if it is shut down or still running could you please contact me to let me know . many thanks

They might be just very busy with August holidays - I've had trouble getting through to a site in Dorset, but all sorted now.  I'm sure someone will be able to let you know if its still open though.  (other thing to do is to ring a business close by to the site and ask them. . . locals are bound to know!)

I live and near there .... and Im sorry to say it is long gone Steve...  It is now the home of NTL building!!

I had many a happy holiday there when I was a kid too, just 20 miles from home.. Used to get home from school and the TT or in later days 'van would be on the back and ready to go!    Once on site under all the trees it was great, hanging around the snack bar place and the jukebox..

ok thanks for all the replys esp rich812 yes it was a fantastic site i remember cycling around the lake and the evening entertainment and walking back to the caravan late at night with our torches the memory of this camp site has stuck in me for a long time and was my fave camp site, i'm gutted that is is closed down lots of memorys will stay with me for many more years to come .
