Hi!

Can anyone recommend a campsite with a playground? It doesn't have to be anything spectacular - just a swing or two would do!

We've been to Low Wray in the Lake District which is fantastic - we just don't want to go back again so soon.

We definitely don't want anything big or noisy or anything remotely resembling a holiday park and we're happy with basic facilities.

Derbyshire / Yorkshire / Lakes preferred but all suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Goosewood at Easingwold and Goldensquare at Helmsley have good playgrounds.

we have just come back from a lovely week at Skelwith Fold in Ambleside,

they had a smashing play area, complete with astro turf football pitch.

not sure about the camping facilities there though, although there were a couple of tents, i think it is mainly caravans.

Just come back from 5 weeks at Y Fronydd in Anglesey. 2 kids age 8 and 9 and now 4mth old dog. we loved every minute of it and can't wait to get back. Hubby came for weekends. 9 year old cried when it was time to come home.

Play area with sand and swings, diggers, tractors and slide.

Also separate play area for football, cricket etc.

Only £8 per night including EHU and showers. whether trailer, caravan or tent. less without EHU.

shower, toilet and sink. wash up sink and washing machine.

We went to Golden Cap in Dorset. There was a childrens playground near the local Spar in the village that was empty each time we visited. It was a lovely site, bit far away from you I guess

My 9-year old son enjoyed the play areas at the Braemar and North Ledaig (near Oban) caravan club sites, but The Ranch caravan club site near Ayr has probably the best play facilities of any site we've been on. As well as the usual outdoor stuff (including a kite-flying field) it also has a small indoor swimming pool plus there is a sauna and gym etc. for the adults.

Our Kids love the Quiet Site Watermillock, Ullswater, but as Knight Stainforth is just down the road, local loyalty says try them too!
