We are looking to go to Cornwall next August for a two week holiday.

Does anybody recommend any campsites between Padstow and Newquay?

Preferences would include, not too big (100 units or less), easy access to a beach, childrens play area, within walking distance of a pub.

We did stay at Padstow Touring Park this year which was a nice site, however, we fancy being a little bit lower down next time.

We have looked at a number of site books but there is nothing better than having a site recommended by people that have stayed there.

Can highly recommend Newquay Holiday Park,part of the Parkdean group. It has more than 100 units,but we have been going every year for the last seven years and i find it a fantastic site. We have three young children,and they love going there. There is just about everything you need on site. The staff are all really nice and we always enjoy our stay. It is ideally situated for most things in Newquay,with some gorgeous beaches really close by.

trevornick is good but a big site

holywell bay is also good

Would recommend Trevornick too, it may be on the large side but because there are no statics it's geared to campers and so the facilities are very good and it's not commercial like the Haven-type sites.
