I have just been nosying on the campsite search and checked out the Isle of Man. I went there once when I was about 11 and fancied going camping there. Unfortunately all the sites had no reviews and very little info regarding what they where like. Has anyone been camping there and did they enjoy it?

Hello I have never been to the Isle of man but regularily see it in the distance from south west scotland while camping there, !t certainly looks rugged. I qiute fancy the idea of camping there myself,  someone will be along with info on it as most things seem to get answered on this site.

I stayed at a site near Hillberry (cant remember the name) in the mid-eighties and like you fancied a return trip. So far though I have found next to nothing using Google etc. Though lots of sites spring up at TT week. I'll just have to keep looking.

dont even think of going to the isle of man at TT fortnight or manx gp. week. unless you,re well into bikes, its just chocka with bikes and bikers, and not recomended to take your own car accros at these times.outside thse dates the island is stunning with a few good camp sites, note ,no caravans allowd on the island.

stu.
